Bakken (Seattle, Wash.) tallied two assists in the men's soccer team's 2-1 victory at Hamilton Saturday afternoon. In both cases, he headed the ball to the goal-scorer, proving to be a big presence in the midfield for Bates.

In the 15th minute, senior Justin Yacovino attacked the end line from the left side and delivered a cross that deflected off a Hamilton defender right to Bakken. He headed the ball to sophomore Beaufils Kimpolo-Pene who headed the ball into the top right corner of the net past the diving Continental keeper.

With the score tied at one late in the first half, junior Drew Munoz threw the ball in toward the left wing. Bakken headed the ball toward the middle of the box and senior Nate Merchant beat the Hamilton keeper to the ball, heading it over everyone and into the back of the net.
