    Hannah Johnson, Josh Leiner and Matt Marcus received the Lindholm Scholar-Athlete Award on Saturday, May 26, while 43 classmates received Senior Scholar Awards at the third annual Senior Athlete Recognition Ceremony in the Olin Arts Concert Hall.

  • Bates Athletics to honor 46 graduates as Senior Scholars on Saturday

    The Bates College Department of Athletics will honor 46 graduating student-athletes with a Senior Scholar Award, in addition to presenting other year-end honors, at the Senior Athlete Recognition Ceremony, taking place Saturday, May 26 at 5 p.m. in the Olin Arts Concert Hall, preceded by a reception at 4:30pm.

    The number one nationally ranked Bates women's rowing team looks to defend its NCAA title this weekend. Two-time All-American Adedire Fakorede '18 and three-time All-American Katherine Cook '18 compete in one final NCAA Championships in track and field. And three-time All-American Ben Rosen' 18 and Jacob Kauppila '20 head across the country for the NCAA men's tennis singles and doubles championships.   • Athletics department welcomes Celine Cunningham, Scott Lehmann to administrative team

    Director of Athletics Jason Fein today announced the appointment of two new members of his administrative team: Stevens Institute of Technology administrator and coach Celine Cunningham will be Bates' senior associate director of athletics, and Towson University assistant director of campus recreation Scott Lehmann will become assistant athletic director for facilities and club sports.
