SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Playing as individuals in lieu of a full squad, the Bates women's golf team had three players finish among the top 61 out of 81 individuals at the two-day Mount Holyoke Invitational at The Orchards Golf Club.

Junior Kelly Wassarman (Middleton, Wis.) led the Bobcats for the third time in as many tournaments this year, carding a 92 on Saturday and following that with an 86 on Sunday to finish at 34-over-par 178, alone in 52nd place.

Senior captain Sarah Centanni (Hingham, Mass.) tied for 56th place at 98-89--187, and senior captain Emily Plotnikov (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took 61st place at 97-96-193.

With senior captain Penelope Ganske (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) withdrawn from the tournament, Bates didn't place in the team standings.

The Bates women next compete at the Williams Fall Classic, Oct. 1-2 at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass.
