INDIANAPOLIS -- The Bates women's track and field team will be represented by a team-record six athletes competing in a total of seven events, as accepted entries to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships were announced Saturday.

The championship meet takes place May 25-27 at the University of Mount Union in Geneva, Ohio.

Senior captain Allison Hill (Brunswick, Maine) will compete in the 100-meter hurdles as the second seed out of 22 athletes, based on her team-record time of 14.04 seconds run at the New England Division III Championships. The two-time All-American is also the 21st seed in the 200-meter dash, with a team-record time of 24.76 seconds run at the New England Division III Championships. Hill placed fifth in the 200 at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March.

Fellow senior captain Jessica Wilson (Cumberland, Maine) will compete in two events for the second straight NCAA meet. Wilson is the eighth seed in the 1,500 meters (4:31.47, run at the New England Division III Championships) and the 14th seed in the 5,000 meters (team-record 16:57.09, run at the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College). Including cross country, it will be the sixth appearance at an NCAA Championship in the three-time All-American's career.

Bates junior and three-time All-American Sally Ceesay (Bronx, N.Y.) will compete in the triple jump at NCAAs for the fourth time in her career. Ceesay is the ninth seed in the 22-athlete field, based on her season-best, non-wind-aided mark of 39-9.25, notched May 4 at the New England Division III Championships.

Sophomore Ayden Eickhoff (Corvallis, Mont.) will compete in the 800-meter run as the 11th seed, based on her team-record time of 2:11.17 run at the New England Division III Championships.

Hill and Eickhoff also represent half of Bates' 14th-seeded 4x400-meter relay team. Hill leads off the race, followed by first-year Paige Rabb (Stamford, Conn.), Eickhoff and senior captain Claire Markonic (Millerton, N.Y.) as the anchor leg. Rabb will make her NCAA Championship debut. Markonic, who has competed in the distance medley relay in all four of her college years at the NCAA Indoor Championships, will be competing for the first time at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

The 4x400 will be Bates' first ever relay team competing at an NCAA Outdoor Championship. The same squad also qualified for 2017 indoor nationals but did not enter due to scheduling conflicts with other events.
