Davis Fitness Center

The Davis Fitness Center, the college's main weightlifting and training facility, received a much-needed facelift in the form of both aesthetics and equipment in 2009. Bates significantly upgraded the equipment in Davis, adding 10 power racks set on hardwood floors, padded weightlifting benches, Olympic bars, and both 25-pound and 45-pound bumper plates. The somewhat ominous power rack structures have added an element of incredible versatility and functionality and have brought a sense of advancement and efficiency to the way students, faculty and staff can train. The free weights in the fitness center also received a tremendous upgrade.
