Bates College achieved the third-best finish in school history in the final Learfield Directors' Cup Division III standings for 2017–18, announced Thursday by the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
Hannah Johnson, Josh Leiner and Matt Marcus received the Lindholm Scholar-Athlete Award on Saturday, May 26, while 43 classmates received Senior Scholar Awards at the third annual Senior Athlete Recognition Ceremony in the Olin Arts Concert Hall.

Director of Athletics Jason Fein today announced the appointment of two new members of his administrative team: Stevens Institute of Technology administrator and coach Celine Cunningham will be Bates' senior associate director of athletics, and Towson University assistant director of campus recreation Scott Lehmann will become assistant athletic director for facilities and club sports.
