Wassarman paces women's golf at Mount Holyoke Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. -- Playing as individuals in lieu of a full squad, the Bates women's golf team had three players finish among the top 89 individuals at the two-day Mount Holyoke Invitational, held on par-72 The Orchards Golf Club.

Senior captain Kelly Wassarman (Middleton, Wis.) led the Bobcats, scoring a 91 on Saturday and a 98 on Sunday for 195 overall, 71st among 101 individuals in the tournament.

First-year Brittany Seipp (Glen Head, N.Y.) continued her solid rookie season with a 74th-place finish, shooting a 97 Sunday following a 98 on Saturday. First-year Andrea Hepfinger (Madison, Wis.) placed 89th overall at 212, including a round of 103 on Sunday.

The Bates women next compete at the Middlebury Invitational, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at Ralph Myhre Golf Course in Middlebury, Vt.
