Seipp leads women's golf at Williams Fall Classic

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Sophomore captain Brittany Seipp finished tied for 62nd out of 83 competitors to lead the Bates women's golf team at the Williams Fall Classic over the weekend.

On Saturday, Seipp (Glen Head, N.Y.) shot a team-best 93, good for a tie for 57th in the field. Then on Sunday she wrapped up the tournament with a 99 for a two-day total of 192, just two strokes away from a top-60 finish. 

The Bobcats shot a two-day total of 872 as a team, tied with Trinity for 14th in the field of 15. 

Sophomore Eleanor Murphy (Schwenksville, Pa.) and sophomore captain Andrea Hepfinger (Madison, Wis.) also finished in the top 70, with Murphy finishing in a tie for 67th after she improved her score by four strokes on Sunday, moving up five spots in the field. 

The women will compete in the NESCAC Championships hosted by Middlebury College this Saturday and Sunday.
