Women's golf finishes second at Bobcat Invitational

AUBURN, Maine -- First-year Chloe Baylor paced the Bates women's golf team for the second straight week, finishing third out of 16 individuals with a two-day score of 166 at the Bobcat Invitational.

Bates placed second out of three teams, trailing Bowdoin but easily beating Husson over the course of the two-day tournament at Martindale Country Club. 

Baylor (Lincoln, Neb.) shot an 83 for the second straight day on Sunday. She finished her round on a high note, birdying the 15th hole and following that up with three straight pars down the stretch. 

Junior captain Brittany Seipp (Glen Head, N.Y.) finished sixth overall and second on the Bobcats, shooting a 90 for the second straight day. 

The Bates women's golf team heads to Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass. next weekend for the Mount Holyoke Invitational.
