Baylor qualifies for NESCAC Women's Golf Spring Championship

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- First-year Chloe Baylor shot an 87 on Saturday and an 88 on Sunday to finish tied for 20th out of 33 NESCAC golfers and tied for 40th out of 73 golfers overall at the NESCAC Women's Golf Championship Fall Qualifier. 

Baylor (Lincoln, Neb.) was the only Bobcat competing at the tournament and her two-day score was good enough to qualify for the NESCAC Women's Golf Spring Championship.

Williams captured the 2019 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship Fall Qualifier with a two-day total of 619 (312-307) on its home course at Taconic Golf Club. The NESCAC qualifier was part of the larger Williams Invitational.

By virtue of winning the fall qualifier, Williams will host the spring championship on April 25-26, 2020. The top four teams in the final standings for the qualifier, plus the top four individual golfers outside the top four teams will play in the spring championship. Baylor was one of those top four individual golfers. 

The women's golf team is back in action Sunday, October 20 and Monday, October 21 at the NEIGA Championships at Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass.
