Bates men rout UMaine-Fort Kent at Paul Bunyan Tournament

BANGOR, Maine -- Rob Stockwell scored 15 points with nine rebounds in only 19 minutes of action as the Bates College men's basketball team ran away from UMaine-Fort Kent 88-43 Friday in the first round of Husson College's Paul Bunyan Tournament.

Stockwell (Temple, N.H.) led five Bobcats who scored in double figures, joining senior center Matt Chudomel (Wellfleet, Mass.; 14 points), sophomore guard Bryan Wholey (Marshfield, Mass.; 13 points), junior guard Pat Halloran (Plymouth, N.H.; 12 points) and junior guard John Lattimer (Atlanta; 10 points).

Edmundas Akstinas (11 points) was the lone UMFK player in double figures.

The Bobcats advanced to the tournament final game to play Husson College.
