Snoddy named Maine men's basketball rookie of the week

LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates first-year forward Andrew Snoddy was named Maine Rookie of the Week for the week ending Nov. 25 by the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association, after helping the Bobcats to a 2-0 week.

Snoddy (Stow, Mass.) averaged 11.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game as the Bobcats defeated Salem State and the University of New England on back-to-back days on the road.

In a 93-73 win over Salem State, the 6-foot-6 Snoddy scored 16 points on 7-for-12 shooting. The following day he shared the team lead in assists with five, to go with seven points and five rebounds in Bates' 104-84 win at UNE.
