The Bobcats opened the second half on an 8-0 run, trimming the lead to 11 on a layup from senior Jeff Spellman (Boston, Mass.) with 17:04 left in the game. But a quick 6-0 run from Babson ended any further comeback hopes.

Bates looks to bounce back Tuesday when the Bobcats visit the University of Southern Maine for a 7:30pm tip.
