LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates men's lacrosse head coach Peter Lasagna will have the opportunity to coach senior All-American Jack Allard a final time, as Allard has been invited to play in the 75th annual USILA/Nike North-South Senior All-Star Game.
The 75th annual USILA/Nike North-South Senior All-Star games will be played at the Edith Robb Dixon Field on the campus of Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa., on Friday, May 27. The game times are 3pm for the Division III game and 5:30pm for the Division I-II game. Tickets can be purchased at the game.
Allard (Ridgewood, N.J.) is Bates' fifth player to be invited to play in the game, following Dan Ross in 2005, B.J. Majeski in 2006, Matt Erisman in 2007 and Rob Highland in 2013. Allard scored 44 goals with 21 assists and 33 ground balls this season, tying for fifth in the NESCAC in goals and ranking third in the league in points (a career-high 65) and 12th in assists (a career-high 21). The one-time All-America selection scored 149 goals in his career, ranking among the most prolific scorers in the program's history.
Lasagna was selected to coach in the game, along with assistant coach Trevar Haefele, earlier this month. Haefele will have the opportunity to coach not only Allard but his brother Troy Haefele, a recent graduate of Nazareth College.
