June 01, 2017Bates finished the 2016–17 academic year with its best-ever showing in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings, announced Thursday. Bates varsity sports combined for 540.5 Directors' Cup points, the 20th most out of 325 institutions that scored. -

Fay drafted by Major League Lacrosse's Boston Cannons
May 28, 2017On the same day he graduated from Bates College, Bobcat star Charlie Fay was drafted to play professional lacrosse by the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse to play professionally on Sunday. -
Weber named Division III Midfielder of the Year by USILA

May 24, 2017The Bates men's lacrosse team's extraordinary 2017 season was reflected well Wednesday, as the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced the USILA/Nike Division III All-America teams. The Bobcats established new team standards with six players named All-America, including three named to the First Team. -
