HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates senior Kyle Weber's nine-goal eruption in Sunday's 23-17 victory over Amherst earned the two-year captain NESCAC Men's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week honors Monday from the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

Weber (Chagrin Falls, Ohio), a two-year team captain, scored more than double his previous career best, converting on nine of his 15 shots to help the Bobcats (4-0) stay undefeated. Weber tied Mike D'Addario's 20-year-old single-game scoring record with the effort, adding two ground balls and a caused turnover.

Weber now leads the NESCAC with 16 goals.

The Bobcats, now ranked No. 8 in Division III by the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, had to postpone Tuesday's scheduled non-conference game against Endicott, with a makeup date to be determined. Their next scheduled game is at Trinity College on Saturday at 1pm.
