LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates junior Matt Chlastawa added USILA D3 Team of the Week honors Tuesday to the NESCAC Player of the Week award he picked up Monday, following his leading role in Saturday's big win over Wesleyan.

Chlastawa (Westfield, Mass.) tallied five goals, five assists and four ground balls in Bates' 15-12 victory over the previously No. 1-ranked Cardinals. The win pushed Bates into the No. 13 national ranking released on Monday, up from No. 20 last week, and into the No. 3 ranking in New England, up from No. 4 last week.

Chlastawa shares the NESCAC lead in assists (13) thus far this season and ranks seventh in goals (9) and second in points (22).

It is the first NESCAC Player of the Week award for the two-time All-American, and the first for a Bates player since Clarke Jones won the honor on April 2, 2018.

Bates (3-1) plays again Tuesday night at 7pm against Western New England University.
