Men's squash plays tough vs. No. 10 Williams

LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates men's squash team put forth outstanding effort in a 7-2 setback against visiting NESCAC rival Williams on Sunday, as the No. 19 Bobcats took two points from the No. 10 Ephs and went the full five sets in three of their losses.

In the longest match of the day, junior R.J. Keating (Short Hills, N.J.) outlasted Taylor Foehl for a 3-2 win at the No. 3 position. First-year Nabil Saleem (Alpharetta, Ga.) won for the second time in as many days at the No. 9 position, after doing the same in yesterday's loss to Navy.

Falling by 3-2 decisions for the Bobcats (2-6) were senior captain Bobby Burns (Greenwich, Conn.) at No. 1 to William Morris, first-year Andy Cannon (Greenwich, Conn.) at No. 5 to Alex Greaves-Tunnell, and junior David Born (Westbrook, Maine) at No. 7 to Julian Drobetsky.

Bates will next play at Amherst on Jan. 14 at 1pm.
