HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates senior Adedire Fakorede was named Men's Field Performer of the Week on Monday, as the New England Small College Athletic Conference announced its second weekly track and field awards of the season.

On Tuesday, Fakorede was additionally named ECAC Division III North Field Athlete of the Week.

Fakorede (Newark, N.J.) claims his third career NESCAC Field Performer of the Week honor after scoring 24 team points for the Bobcats at the Tufts Quad Meet on Saturday, a meet that included MIT and RPI. The three-time All-American took first place in both the hammer throw (165-11) and discus throw (159-7) and placed third in the shot put (46-8).

Fakorede and Bates will compete at the UNH Wildcat Invitational this Saturday; select distance runners will compete Friday at Connecticut College's Silfen Invitational.
