Men's rowing holds their own on Charles River against Harvard lightweights and Boston College

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Bates men's rowing team got some early morning work in against the Harvard lightweights and Boston College on the Charles River Sunday. 

At 7:00 a.m., the third varsity eight got on the water for their 2-kilometer race with the Crimson and the Eagles. They raced to the finish in 6:54.8, taking third place and defeating the Harvard 6V and the Boston College 4V along the way.

Twenty minutes later, the second varsity eight finished just three seconds behind the Harvard 4V and just over 25 seconds ahead of Boston College for a third place finish with a time of 6:31.6.

At 7:40 a.m., the Bobcat first varsity eight tangled one-on-one with the Harvard 2V, finishing just six seconds behind the Crimson with a time of 6:25.5.

The Bates men are back on the water on April 9th when they head to the WPI Invitational.
