July 11, 2018On Wednesday, USRowing announced the 72-person roster of the 2018 Under 23 National Team that will compete at the 2018 World Rowing Under 23 Championships July 25-29 in Poznan, Poland. And only one rower made the team from the NESCAC: Bates College's Joshua Bilchik '18 of Brookline, Mass. -
Rowing's Amelia Wilhelm nominated by NESCAC for NCAA Woman of the Year
June 28, 2018Bates College's Amelia Wilhelm has been nominated for the 2010 NCAA Woman of the Year Award by the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). The NCAA Woman of the Year Award honors graduating student-athletes who have distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in the areas of academic achievement, athletics excellence, service and leadership. The award has been given annually since 1991. -
Seven men's rowers earn IRA All-Academic honors
June 28, 2018The Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Board of Stewards has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2017-18 academic year. Seven Bobcats made the team, including six from the first varsity eight. -

Women's rowing sweeps its way to second straight NCAA championship
May 26, 2018The Bates women's rowing team left no room for doubt on Saturday, winning both grand finals to take home the Bobcats' second straight national championship and their third in the last four years. The first varsity eight won its first gold medal at the NCAA Championships in program history and the second varsity eight edged Wellesley to win its fifth consecutive gold medal on the biggest stage of women's collegiate rowing. -
