HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates junior defender Allison Hill was named NESCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week on Monday, as announced by the New England Small College Athletic Conference, after her stellar game against Middlebury on Saturday.

Hill (Brunswick, Maine) played a key role in Bates' 2-0 win over the visiting Panthers, which secured Bates' first trip to the NESCAC Championship playoffs since 2010.

Hill was responsible for both of Bates' team saves in the game, clearing out two would-be goals by the Panthers. She also served up the assist on the game's first goal, a header by senior Karen Lockhart (East Greenwich, R.I.) in the 33rd minute.

Dakota Donovan '15 was the last Bobcat to claim NESCAC Player of the Week honors, on Sept. 29, 2014.

The Bobcats (6-5-3, 3-3-3 NESCAC) will be either the fifth, sixth or seventh seed at NESCACs, with the quarterfinal round taking place this Saturday. Bates finishes the regular season with a home game against Colby on Tuesday at 3pm.
